It started just like every other Tuesday morning. I woke up shortly before five a.m. in order to be at the church to unlock and put the coffee on before the guys arrived for the men’s study at six.
It was only while I was in the shower getting ready to shave that it suddenly dawned on me it wasn’t Tuesday. It was Monday, and I didn’t have to be up for another hour and a half.
Timing is indeed everything. In most instances, it’s better to be early than late, but not necessarily a day early.
When is a good time to become a follower of Christ? Now! When is a good time to do the right thing? Now.
And I truly believe that we are now at that time in the life of our church: it’s not too early, and it’s not too late. We can dwell in the past and what might have been, or we can realize that today is the right day for Cornerstone to be the church God wants us to be.
I am excited about what God has in store for our church and the people we will reach. People who are here, near and far away.
Have a great week, and remember: To see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
