Last week the West Bedford High Wolves won a football game. And not just any game. It was the first game they had ever won, and they nailed it. 20-0

West Bedford was the school our grandkids attended before they moved, so I have followed the Wolves vicariously through their first two seasons.

We heard about their first game and their first touchdown. We knew which players were connected to Cornerstone, and we cheered the team on. In spirit, if not in person.

And those first two seasons were rough. It was a new school, and a new team, and they shared a home field with a team that hasn’t lost a game since 2024. I commented last year that they were a Disney movie in the making.

But the Wolves seemed to embrace the words of Winston Churchill  “. . . we shall never surrender.”

Sometimes, it’s easy to wonder if maybe enough is enough, but if we quit, whatever it is we are quitting, we will never see the victory. Or as Paul told the church in Galatians 6:9 “. . . At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

Like the Wolves, we just need to keep showing up

Have a great week, and remember: To see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
