I had heard about range anxiety, but I had never experienced it. But that was before last Saturday.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to drive a brand-new EV (Electric Vehicle), and it was a beautiful car. The only issue was that it had a 400 km range when it was fully charged, and I had to drive to Moncton and back, which was a 520 km trip.

I spent the entire journey to Moncton wondering and fretting about where I’d find a charger and whether it would be available and working when I got there. But I did, and it was.

The trip back to Halifax was a lot less stressful. I had a full charge, and I was heading home.

Sometimes, in our Christian walk, we experience “range anxiety.” We wonder if we will have what it takes to finish our journey.

Jesus told his followers in Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.”

As a Christ follower, the presence of the Holy Spirit is a promise, and with the promise of the Holy Spirit comes the promise of the power that will take us all the way home. And all we have to do is claim it.

Have a great week, and remember: To see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
