It’s been a rough few months at Cornerstone with fires, floods and funerals. We have had families who have lost homes, possessions and loved ones.  And through it all, I’ve seen our cornerstone family step up to support one another physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

We are called to minister to the world and to show Christ’s love to those outside the four walls of the church. Still, Paul reminds us in Galatians 6:10, “Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.”

Too often, we focus on the everyone while neglecting the family of the faith. So, for those who took the time to pray, give and work, thank you for doing good to the family of faith.

One of our Core Values states, “Cornerstone is committed to showing Christ’s love to those who attend in practical and tangible ways.” And that is a part of our witness to a lost and dying world. Jesus reminded those who would follow him, So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.  Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Have a great week, and remember: To see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
