Well, it’s been a few days since Fiona paid us a visit. And the clean-up is well underway.

Depending on where you live, Fiona was either a massive hurricane or just a big storm, and the amount of damage corresponded to our location as well. In Hammonds Plains and Beaver Bank, our church buildings just lost a few shingles and a couple of trees, but there were areas in the Atlantic Provinces where some people lost their homes, and a few people lost their lives.

And as wild as Fiona was on Saturday, by Sunday morning, only eighteen hours after the storm was at its worst, the sun was shining, and it was a beautiful day. And I realized that was the same as many of the storms that blow through our lives. It may seem that they will last forever, but, in most cases, they don’t.

Sometimes when we are going through storms in our marriages, on our jobs, with our health and in our spiritual lives, we think they will never end, but hang on, ask for help and wait for the sun to return. Have a great week, and remember: The Greatest of these is Love.

Have a great week, and remember: To see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
