Tuesday was garbage day, and I knew it was organics so I dragged my green bin out to the side of the road along with my recyclables
As I drove to the church, I began to notice how many of my neighbours had it wrong. They didn’t have their green bins out, they had their regular garbage bags out. Seriously, it was amazing how many people could get something that simple wrong.
But then I noticed that it wasn’t just most of my neighbours who had it wrong, they all did. So I pulled over to the side of the road and checked my app and I couldn’t believe it, the app had it wrong as well.
As I pondered the ramifications of a world gone mad it dawned on me, maybe I had it wrong.
There were two options, I could steadfastly stand by my opinion, which I knew was right or I could succumb to social pressure and change my mind. I went back and put my garbage out.
I have discovered that sometimes just because I think I’m right doesn’t necessarily mean I’m right.
But I’ve also discovered that there are other times that just because everybody else thinks they are right, doesn’t necessarily mean I’m wrong.
Have a great week and remember: To see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
