I’ve heard it said, “The only people who enjoy change are babies with wet diapers and busy cashiers.”
I’ve often attributed that to Robert J. Kriegel, author of “If it Ain’t Broke Break It”, but when I googled it, all I found were references to a couple of sermons I’ve preached through the years. So, maybe I’ve been quoting myself.
But whoever said it spoke the truth. We all enjoy the comfort of the same. That is, until the same becomes uncomfortable. But in life, things very seldom stay the same.
This year, we are in a season of change at Cornerstone. If you aren’t subscribed to the Cornerstone Connections emails, now would be a good time to start. There have been several announcements concerning staff. While we are excited for what God has in store for them, there will be changes at Cornerstone.
However, in this season of change, two things haven’t changed. Christ is still on his throne, and Cornerstone is still committed to providing a church home for the spiritually homeless.
So as we move ahead, welcoming new staff, adjusting to new rhythms and continuing to impact our community, we do so with confidence in the One who does not change.
Have a great week, and remember: to see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
