Well, she’s dead! But, she certainly had a good run of it. 117 years 5 months and 16 days after she was born Maria Morera died. She was the oldest living human on the planet at the time of her demise. And from all accounts, Maria lived a full life. A life that she enjoyed.

We all have something in common with Maria and that is the fact that each one of us has one life to live. It may be 117 years or less than half of that, but we each have one life. We have no say in how long or short our life will be, but we will each determine how full or empty it will be.  

The secret is not how many years you get in your life but how much life you get in your years. In John 10:10 Christ promised us a life full to the point of overflowing and that promise is for every believer. The trick though is to do your part. You see, Jesus may promise you an abundant life but it won’t do you any good unless you are willing to live that abundant life. So, what’s it going to be, a full life? Or an empty life? It’s up to you.
