I’m discovering, yet again, that a church building is not necessarily one thing, instead it is a compilation of many different things.  There’s electrical, heating and ventilation, not to mention plumbing, floor coverings, paint, sound systems and a thousand other details that all have to come together so that people will see not a whole pile of separate parts but one church.  The secret is to make sure that all the individual pieces come together in the right place at the right time. It doesn’t matter how good something is, if it arrives too late it’s not going to work.

I’m discovering yet again that the church body is not necessarily one thing, instead it is a compilation of many different things.  There is teaching, hospitality, prayer, preaching, singing and a host of other things, details that all have to come together so that people will see not a whole pile of separate parts but one church.

The secret is to make sure that all the individual pieces come together in the right place at the right time. It doesn’t matter how good something is, if it arrives too late it’s not going to work.  We each have a part to play, and we each have an obligation to find out how to play that part.
