I missed a good part of it while I was away, but I’m back and I still have time to, “Play Again.”

That’s right, it’s “Roll up the Rim to Win” time at Tim Horton’s.

For years, I expressed disappointment whenever I rolled up my rim to reveal the dreaded words, please play again. I even tracked how many times I lost as opposed to how many times I won.
But a few years ago, I changed my thinking and started seeing the words as something positive instead of something negative. I call it the “Play Again Blessing!”

When I discover I have not won a donut, coffee, or car, I take a minute to thank God that I have the opportunity to play again. I’m thankful that I could buy a coffee, and I’m thankful that the $1.69 that my small coffee cost is not an insurmountable expense for me to play again.

So often in life, the very things we complain about are things we could be thankful for, if we were willing to take the time to look for the blessing.

God’s word reminds us to give thanks in everything, including the times in life when we don’t win.

Have a great week and remember: to see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
