I used to say if I didn’t like the weather forecast, I would just keep changing radio stations until I found a forecast I liked. Now I just check various weather apps on my phone until I find the one that suits me.
I understand why different weather apps might disagree on what the weather will be a week or even a day down the road, but it really confuses me when they can’t agree on what the weather is doing outside my window right now.
I understand that apps don’t create the weather, but they should be accurate in how they report it.
The same seems to be the way with current events. People look at what is happening in the world around them and then tell you what you should believe. It appears that everyone has an opinion, and everyone thinks their opinion is the only truth.
However, for people of faith, we need to look at the events of today through the lens of Jesus’ teaching.
“What would Jesus do?” isn’t just a pithy saying. When Jesus said He was the truth, He was telling us that His teaching should be foundational for how we view the events that happen around us.
Have a great week and remember: to see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
