135 years, wow! And now she has passed, but she certainly had a good run of it. 135 years, 5 months and 21 days after she was born in Xinjiang in Western China, Almihan Seyiti died. She was believed to be the oldest woman in the world.
We all have something in common with this lady, and that is the fact that each one of us will get one life to live. It may have 135 years in it or considerably less, but each of us gets one life. We have no say in how long our life will be, or how short it will be, but each one of us will determine how full or how empty our life will be.
In John 10:10, Christ promised us a life full to the point of overflowing, and that promise is for every believer. The secret, though, is to do your part. Jesus may promise you abundant life, but it won’t do you any good unless you are willing to claim that abundant life and then live that abundant life.
And that, my friend, can only be decided by you. So what’s it going to be, a full life or an empty life? It’s up to you.
Have a great week and remember: To see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
