We recently bought a new Corolla and as a part of the Toyota Safety Sense, it’s got a neat feature called a Pre-Collision System. The official explanation is that it is: “a safety system designed to reduce the possibility or severity of frontal collisions by warning drivers of impending crashes with vehicles ahead.”

So in theory, if the car senses that there is a car, pedestrians or bicycle in front of you, and if you aren’t responding quickly enough, it will produce an audible alert and then brake.
I say in theory because they warn you not to test it, because . . . well, you know. You might run into something.

So the only way that you will actually discover whether the Pre-Collision System is working is . . . when it works.

They tell us that the only way we will know if social distancing and self-isolating will work in combating COVID-19, is when they work.

As Christ Followers, it might be during these times that we truly understand the words of Corrie Ten Boom who wrote, “You can never learn that Christ is all you need, until Christ is all you have.”

So, during these strange times of turmoil and change, take time to discover more about the one who holds your today and your tomorrows.

Have a great week and remember: To see what is possible, you’ll have to attempt the impossible.
