Recently
someone asked me why I wear a watch when I could find the time on my phone.
The fact that I like the look of watches seemed a little shallow, so I replied:
it not only tells me the time, it saves me time.
They looked at me quizzically, so I elaborated. When I need to find out
what time it is, I simply look down at my wrist. And voila, there is the
time. However, when you need to check the time, you need to reach in your
pocket and pull out our phone.
As long as you have your phone out, you check your email and your Facebook, and
you might as well see what the weather forecast will be for the next fourteen
days. And when you’re done, you put your phone back in your pocket and
wonder what time it is.
It seems like a little thing, but life is made up of little things and little
choices.
I’ve had people tell me they don’t have time to pray or to read their Bibles
and my response is, we can’t make time, we can only find time. Where will
you find the time you need to do the things that will make the biggest
difference in your life? Maybe by wearing a watch.
Have a great week and remember: To see what is possible, you’ll have to
attempt the impossible.
