I trust that all of us will take time on Tuesday to stop and reflect on the blessings we have in our wonderful nation.

Now before you start thinking I’m mixed up concerning dates, I know that Tuesday isn’t Thanksgiving, but you need to understand that Tuesday, November 19th is World Toilet Day.

I can almost see the smiles as you chuckle and think, “Yeah right, a day to celebrate toilets.”  No really, November 19th is a day set apart, since 2001, to celebrate what most of us take for granted; our bathroom facilities.  Take just a minute and imagine what your life would be like without toilets.  No toilet in your house, or at work or school.  No public toilets, no toilets at all.

Think about how different your life would be without a toilet and now you have a little bit of understanding what life is like for 40% of the world’s population.  Knowing that, I bet you’ll be a lot more apt to give thanks on Tuesday.

So often it isn’t the big things that make the biggest difference in our lives, it’s the things we take for granted. What else is there in your life that you need to stop and thank God for?

Have a great week and remember: To see what is really possible, you will have to attempt the impossible.
